Song: Starsmith - Leave Me Slowly (Ft. Ellie Goulding)
What's so good?
There's something fun and glitchy about this song. It's not my normal cup of tea, and I must confess it took me about five listens to decide that I wanted to share it. I've listened to it 20 more times since then, and I definitely still like it.I struggle a bit to figure out who I should compare this to. It has hints of Caribou, as well as some sort of 90s rave party. But... there's a hint of R&B as well on the vocals.Perhaps that all goes to show that this one's an original track, worthy of a new categorization of music? Ha, maybe it's best to just enjoy it for what it is!Those vocals, by the way, come courtesy of Ellie Goulding. You see, while this might be Starsmith's first solo song (I think?), he's no newcomer: he was the main producer (and co-writer) on Ellie's debut album Lights.
