What's so good?

Consistency means a lot in the music industry, and pecq seem to be on top of that right now. Almost every song they sends me ends up being worthy of a blog post. Heck, we've published four already, with this being the fifth.So, what is it about pecq that pulls me in? It's probably the melodic shifts and turns, the captivating vocals, the upbeat-but-dreamy approach to songwriting, and the fact that it reminds me of two of my favorites: Made in Heights (RIP) and ANIMA!Jakes and Nikò found inspiration for "closer" in something quite the opposite: distance. Traveling and touring left them feeling a bit homesick, and the excitement of returning home to be closer to friends and family ended up resonating enough that it was born as a song :)For more of pecq, check out their Spotify page.
