Noisebud Shape2 AdvancedShape2 Advanced is an extreme low-end shaper and compressor designed to give you precise control over the lowest part of the spectrum. Instead of traditional EQ or compression, Shape2 Advanced reshapes the behaviour of the bass itself. The core processing is based on a waveshaper that compresses and reshapes the low frequencies so they use the available headroom more efficiently while keeping the rest of the spectrum untouched. In version 1.50 the plugin became much more flexible. The waveshaper can now be turned off completely, allowing Shape2 Advanced to function as a dedicated low-end envelope shaper and limiter. This opens up a new workflow where you can design how the bass moves over time rather than just compressing it. The expanded envelope section includes Attack, Release, and Curve controls, giving detailed control over how the low frequencies react and recover. Together with the built-in low peak limiting and dry/wet blending, this allows anything from subtle tightening of the bass to extremely controlled low-end shaping. The original waveshaper workflow is still fully available, so the plugin can be used exactly like before or in completely new ways.
