Cluster is a visual MIDI chord instrument for exploring harmony and voice-led chord movement.

Chords are arranged across a visual map, with nearby positions tending towards smaller harmonic changes. Select a chord and move through the map to discover related harmonies, while Cluster uses voice leading to move existing notes smoothly towards each new chord.

Spread controls the spacing of the chord voices, Ripple introduces rolled or humanised note timing, and Glide lets individual voices bend between harmonies. With an MPE-compatible synth, those glides can happen independently for each note.

Cluster can be played directly from its interface, triggered from a MIDI keyboard, or controlled wirelessly from a phone or tablet. Performances can be recorded either as compact chord triggers or as the complete generated voiced MIDI.
