amphioniq's dm4 is a free, modern homage to Steinberg's venerable LM-4 drum machine module, offering compatibility with existing LM-4 kits and faithfully reproducing the features from the original. dm4 is intended as a playful way to celebrate the legacy and simplicity of the LM-4 as a VST3 plug-in.

Introduced in 1999, LM-4 was Steinberg's first commercial VST Instrument, following the launch of the VST 2.0 plug-in interface. Written by Charlie Steinberg, it was a tribute to Roger Linn's first drum machine, the venerable LM-1, which had debuted 19 years earlier.

• Faithfully loads LM-4 drum sets in the original text (*.txt) file format, making it easy to edit to create your own. Along with Steinberg's original content, there are numerous third-party kits available in the depths of the Internet.

• 18 Pads, offering independent pan, pitch, and level controls, with each allowing for up to 127 velocity zones.
