New Music Critique of Rohmeela

Contact: rohmeela.sound@gmail.com
Web: Spotify
Seeking: Label, Booking, Airplay
Style: Afro-Fusion, Afro-Hip

Rohmeela, born Chukwumela Ohia, blends hip-hop with afro-beat, and the results are startlingly effective. Rohmeela creates sounds that make dancing practically compulsory. “Give Me Love” and “Crazy Love” have a “slow dance in the dancehall” vibe, while “3 Minutes” is where the artist shows off his rap skills. It all makes for a heady brew, as Rohmeela combines his ability to sing and spit rhymes, while telling his authentic tales. He can switch from romantic to aggressive at the shake of a dog’s tail, which is fascinating when working your way through his Grace of God (G.O.D.) album.

The post New Music Critique of Rohmeela first appeared on Music Connection Magazine.
