The EQ

Musical curves, more reach.

• Independent boost and cut on low and high bands — including the classic move of boosting and cutting the same low frequency for tight, mud-free low end.

• Low band 20 Hz–800 Hz; high boost 1.5–16 kHz with variable bandwidth, from presence peak to air shelf.

• A separate high-cut band (3–20 kHz) to tame the top end on its own.

The colour

Five analog-modelled stages.

• Class A tube — even-harmonic warmth at the front end.

• Harmonic exciter — tuneable high-end harmonics for presence and air.

• Component Noise — transient-reactive or constant analog noise for vintage texture.

• Class B tube — a separate drive stage with a tone tilt into the distortion.

• Output transformer — modelled iron for low-end weight and glue.

Beyond the hardware
