Mary Olson, the Associate Vice President and General Manager of the KCLU Broadcast & Digital Network, played a pivotal role in the station’s inception in 1994.

Under Mary’s leadership, KCLU has consistently maintained its position as the top news station in the region. THE MIKE GORMLEY SHOW Featuring John McEuen

In 1966, McEuen co-founded the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band, which gained significant recognition for its distinctive blend of bluegrass, folk rock, and jug band music.

After twenty years with the band, McEuen embarked on a successful solo career in 1986. He released several solo albums and collaborated with a diverse range of artists, including Johnny Cash, David Allan Coe, Kenny Loggins, Michael Martin Murphey, and more.  McEuen also showcased his talents as a film and television composer.

John McEuen is renowned for his mastery of various instruments, including the banjo, guitar, mandolin, and fiddle, among others. He won the Grammy Award for Best Bluegrass Album for producing Steve Martin’s “The Crow: New Songs for the Five-String Banjo.” In 2009, he was inducted into the Traditional Country Music Hall of Fame.
